Timpani and percussion to the Orquestra do Norte

The Orquestra do Norte (ON) is, since 1992, the reality of the musical culture decentralized project. Winner of the first National Contest for regional orchestras promoted by Portuguese Government, the ON includes high quality musicians besides the participation of famous national and international conductors, soloists and chorus which allow the performing of a various repertoire, by including camera concerts, soloist concerts, ballet music, zarzuela,oratorio, opera (in both concert and scenic versions) and pedagogical concerts. The Orquestra do Norte has 48 musicians and it’s based in Amarante – a charming city near Porto known for its relaxing lifestyle. Due to the nature of its goal, the ON plays over 100 concerts each year all over Portugal, Spain and other European countries.

Violin and percussion to the Tonkunstler Orchestra

The Tonkunstler Orchestra is the symphony orchestra of Austria's biggest Province Lower Austria and currently has 102 permanent positions (including 7 Academy positions). Most rehearsals and performances take place in Vienna (Musikverein, Gro?er and Gl?serner Saal), St. P?lten (Festspielhaus, Gro?er Saal) and Grafenegg. Scholarship program (trombone) in the the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra

In order to offer orchestral experience for highly talented young musicians the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra (CySO) announces a scholarship program.
Applications are invited for the following instruments:

The scholarship program is open to European citizens. Any advanced university or music high school students and musicians who graduated in the past two years can apply.

1. Qualifications

Applicants for 2 violin, 3 viola, 2 cello, 1 clarinet, 1 bassoon and 1 trombone or bass trombone position(s) should be able to join the Orchestra from September, 2010. Applicants should have basic proficiency in English or Japanese.
The above requirements may be waived or altered, on the basis of separate consultations, in case of students or members of other orchestras who have time remaining in their contracts.
