The Macao Orchestra is a professional ensemble, organized under the auspices of the Cultural Institute of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government.
The Macao Orchestra will be participating in many major performances. The Macao Orchestra has organized and will organized many tours outside Macao. It has been the "Cultural Representative" of Macao. The Orchestra currently has several openings for various sections, and welcomes applications from musicians around the world?

Terms and conditions of employment:
Salary (gross, in Macao currency, MOP)
a. Regular musicians: MOP$21,352.00 per month; Regular musicians with doubling: MOP$22,475.00 per month; Section principals: MOP$26,971.00 per month;
b. All full time orchestra musicians are entitled to a MOP$2,000.00 monthly housing subsidy;
c. The salary includes one month paid vacation, to be taken in August;
d. In addition to the monthly salary, a holiday bonus equivalent to one month’s salary is paid (pro rata);
e. Any fulltime musicians who have continually worked in the Macao Orchestra for two years will receive a monthly increment of MOP$500.00 (five hundred Patacas) from the third year onwards. Then, each two year, there will be a monthly increment of MOP$500. The upper limit of this increment will be MOP$2,500.

General Rules AND Regulations Auditions
As.Li.Co. (Associazione Lirica e Concertistica Italiana) announces auditions to complete Orchestra 1813 employed in its musical activities. High professional standards and good aptitudes for working in an orchestra are required. Winners will be involved in As.Li.Co. musical activities, particularly in the productions within Opera domani and Pocket Opera projects, as well as in the musical season sponsored by Teatro Sociale di Como and the summer Festival Como Citt? della Musica.
Musicians will be auditioned for the following positions:
Principal First Violin (+ compulsory section)
Principal Cello (+ compulsory section)
Principal flute (+compulsory piccolo)
Principal clarinet
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- be born by January 1st, 1992
- be European Union citizens or, if not, to hold a visa permit allowing him a lawful employment in Italy at least 30 days before the beginning of the contract, that will be otherwise cancelled.
- have an Italian music diploma or equivalent foreign degree for the instrument the applicant is auditioning for.
- be in possession of the instrument/s the applicant is auditioning for.
The Panel of Judges will select for the auditions the candidates on the basis of their professional r?sum? sent together with the application form.

The audition will take place 23 and 24 October 2009 at the Symphonic Concert Hall at Musikhuset Aarhus (Concert Hall Aarhus), Skovgaardsgade 2C, DK-8000 Aarhus C, Denmark. The Aarhus Symphony Orchestra will provide a pianist on the day of the audition, but travelling expenses and expenses for accommodation must be met by the applicant.
Required:
• Mozart: 1st movement with cadenza of Concerto in G major, KV 313, or Concerto in D major, KV 314
• Piccolo A. Vivaldi: Piccolo Concerto in C major (RV 443): 2nd movement.
• Dutilleux: Sonatine for flute and piano
In addition hereto:Excerpts of orchestral literature and possibly ensemble playing.
Repertoire for this round will be sent electronically to the applicants after closing date for applications.
Salary:
Salary pursuant to the current agreements between the musicians’ union and the Danish regional symphony orchestras.
NB: Candidates are asked to keep themselves informed as to the current rules and regulations concerning work permit in Denmark.

Principal Piccolo

Johannes Fritzsch, Chief Conductor, announces auditions for the following position:

Principal Piccolo - Positions are only open to Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens.

Auditions will be held on 22 September, 2009. Possible preliminary round on 21 September, 2009.

An accompanist will be provided on the day of auditions.
Audition requirements:

• to be performed on flute: Mozart Concerto in G K313 or D K314, first movement exposition, without cadenza.
• to be performed on piccolo: Mozart Concerto in D K314, second movement without cadenza.
• to be performed on piccolo: Vivaldi, Concert in C RV 443, first and second movements without repeats.

Orchestral excerpts will be available from 24th August 2009 on our website or by request in hard copy.

Salary range $67,220 to $71,159 including superannuation up to 12% (conditions apply), plus allowances.
